Behind Fault Lines
In some of Amman's more densely populated areas, windows and balconies bleed into the street, blurring the boundaries of home privacy and the public domain. As such, clotheslines found within these spaces can be seen as rotating displays that reveal some private facts whilst concealing more intimate details. The photographs in this work explore notions of privacy in relation to the urban environment. Peeking through from a distance, these photographic documentations invite viewers to imagine the lives behind these building facades and neighborhoods.
